I looked up at the starry night, wanting to know if there is someone who had a heart of a man who would listen to me in meek, Coming to Melody, MUSIC TODAY IS ALL NOISE……
Eulogising music the great poet H W Longfellow said,
“And the night shall be filled with music,
And the cares that infest the day.
Shall fold their tents like the Arabs,
And as silently steal away.”
Music has the power to relax the mind $ body from the rigors of life. Unfortunately the music one hears now isn’t a music, but a cacophony of noise, from high decibel instruments. Music is an art which is sublime and scared. Meaningful words sung melodiously, to convey emotion of love $ sorrow, appeal to the heart and soul of a person making it instantly soothing and pleasing. Sadly such melody is nonexistent today. Songs are mere jugglery of words having no meaning. The artists of bygone days worshipped their talent $ devote their life perfecting it, which uplifted the audience from the weariness of life.
Words which are the heart of music, are overshadowed by modern gadgetry, reducing it to mere noise. While jazz, rap etc elicit a pure physical response, making one dance and jump in gay abandon. But no sooner it is switched of, it fades from memory leaving one tired $ exhausted. Such music which is discordant, disharmonious. Artificial and transitory cannot be called music, nut mere noise.
