Meet the “Teenage Rupanzel” Nilanshi Patel. This 16 years old teenager from Gujarat has set the world record for ‘Longest hair on a teenager’. The length of her hair is 170.5 cm (5 ft 7 in). She has been growing her hair since she was 6 years old after having a bad haircut. Nilanshi says, “I feel very excited and I feel very happy and it is a big victory for me to be a world record and to set it on record."
Popularly known as the Indian Turbanator, Avtar Singh Mauni is a 60-year-old resident of Patiala, Punjab. He holds the record for wearing the tallest and heaviest turban in the world that weighs 45 kg. When unwrapped, the turban stretches up to 645 meters - almost the same length as 13 Olympic-sized swimming pools. It takes him 6 hours to get ready!
Meet the 25-year-old (as in 2019) Jyoti Amge who holds the title of the world’s smallest woman. This Nagpur based woman measures merely 61.95 centimeters (2 feet). Before this, she held the Guinness World Record for being the tiniest teenager alive.
Feeling hungry? Then you should definitely see this world’s largest roti. This feat has been achieved by Shree Jalarm Mandir Jirnodhar Samitee organization at Jalaram Temple, Jam Nagar, Gujarat. The event was organized on September 22, 2012, when a 145 kg roti was rolled.
Jaipur based Ram Singh Chauhan proudly holds the record of the world’s longest moustache. Measuring 18.5 feet long, no one has beaten his record (and I believe no one will). He had been growing his moustache since 1970. Ram Singh explains that he takes a lot of care for his moustache.
If you are a television lover, you will certainly love this television remote. Suraj Kumar Meher and Rajesh Kumar Meherproudly hold the record of building the world’s largest remote control. Amazingly, this 4.5 m (14 ft 9.1 in) long remote is fully functioning and works on a normal-sized television.
A new world record for making the longest dosa has been achieved by the chefs working in Saravana Bhavan, a Chennai-based private restaurant. It took 60 chefs to prepare the gigantic dosa measuring 100 foot long on the IIT Madras Campus. It took 37 kg of batter to make the dosa.The team was headed by Vinoth Kumar who is a five-time world record holder. Previously, the record was held by Hotel Daspalla, Ahmedabad with their dosa measuring 16.68 meters.
