Cinema has a strong relationship with every section of every society with its major impact on the masses. People in India idealize characters portrayed in movies and more or less tend to copy them. Men in large number started copying the beard trend set by Ranvir Singh and that locket wore by Salman Khan was sold in massive stocks. Different looks of an actress in her movie is often tried by every Indian girl who follows Bollywood. Many a times, it comes up with real inspiring characters and stories that are very motivational and powerful. But Bollywood frequently goes off the track and make people think of life a peculiar way.

It makes a bride think that the best time to decide her future is right on her wedding day. It assures us that cycling over a railway track and walking off just one second before any train hits you is damn easy. It shows that you are in love with a person when cool breeze starts blowing your hair and everything around seems pink the moment you see him/her coming. And ya! It's a cake walk for an eight year old to make her father marry his college best friend after he becomes a widower.

But on a serious note, it sometimes affects you badly with all those obscene item songs and other things. Kareena Kapoor being depicted as a tandoori chicken and people dancing on the beats of Gandi Bat which clearly states that,“ My patience level is over the mark now and so I'll rape you."

Bollywood tells boys that when a girl says no, it actually means a yes. It tells them that, “ Mard ko kabhi dard nahi hota." It makes young boys believe that wearing a shirt with open buttons and a knot at the end is cool. It tells them that following a girl in street with her dupatta in your mouth is justified. It teaches them that holding someone's hand and kissing her suddenly without any consent makes her delighted and not angry. It allows them to raise hands on their female partners.

It teaches girls that they should actually blush from within when a guy teases them. It makes them believe that only because fair actresses are promoted on screens, thus anything is better than dark. It makes them think that a studious and simple girl can become hot and sexy just by taking off her glasses and opening her hair. It tells her to look out for a prince charming coming to her rescue while she awaits in her castle for years.

Now all that we can make out from this is Bollywood seriously follows it's dialogue of “Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega. " We are no censor board to decide what all is to be showcased in our movies and what not to. But on our part, we can behave like responsible audiences that take up only positive characters in their lives and do not seek justification of reel life for any unjustified behaviour.
