A word that we all must have heard about 'Procastination'., avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished by a certain deadline. From a cultural perspective ,students from both Western and non-Western cultures are found to exhibit academic procrastination, but for different reasons. It is the thief of time. You may delay but time will not. Procrastination may be symptomatic of a psychological disorder . The causes of procrastination can be excessive perfectionism. It makes easy things hard, and hard things harder. It's like a credit card , it's a lot of fun until you get the bill. It involves stress and behaviors that have a poor impact on health. Laziness is a habit rather than a mental health issue. It may reflect a lack of self esteem,a lack of positive recognition by others, a lack of discipline stemming from low self confidence or a lack of interest in the activity or belief in its efficacy. Laziness may manifest as a procrastination or vacillation . There is a proverb which says "When there is a hill to climb , don't think that waiting will make it smaller ". If you don't believe there's enough time to get everything done , you'll procrastinate to prove yourself right. So don't fall into that trap. Nurture the belief that time is on your side and it will be. Just do one thing at a time with a sense of knowing calm. What if all this time, all this struggle, has been leading to you a beautiful chapter of your life? What If everything does work out , even if it doesn't seem like it right now? What if who I become is who I needed all along ? What if all of this hardwork leads to amazing things? What if you replaced negativity with optimism ? Would your thoughts and behavior change too? I believe so....
