We all have heard - 'Pen is mightier than Sword'. Some might agree while a little might deny. But then it is something which demands a bit of attention. A study shows that different forms of writing serve a wide range of functions which include improving learning, minimizing stress and anxiety, helping to cope with negative experiences.

Writing is an effective way to engage our minds. It can help one to overcome any traumatic experience. Martin Luther said, “If you want to change the world, pick up your pen and write.” Writing is a way of talking without getting interrupted. It is all within your space, your freedom zone. No one is a born writer or a poet. It is after spending a good time span that you write with an ease. Effective writing has got the power to change someone's mindset, someone's outlook towards a particular thing. I took up writing sometime back, and I can assure you the satisfaction you get after getting to know that your writing could change one's thought process is unmatchable. You feel a responsibility lies on you.

You can't expect someone to be always there for you when you feel like sharing what is going on in your head. But then you do have a pen alongside. So what to wait for? Grab it and pen down your thoughts, your feelings. Trust me it takes the load out of you. You feel relieved. A pen transmits the voice of the soul. There is no one to judge you. It's your space. Everything lies within the same. So do start writing down what you feel and see the change within you.
