Bangalore(also,Bengaluru) is one of the most populous cities of India and is one of the fastest emerging urban agglomeration in India. I had never been to the city before but this summer, I decided to travel to the state of Karnataka to enjoy my vacations.

To be honest, I am a travel fanatic and absolutely adore traveling to places I have never been. The travel bug had bit me hard when I was a kid. I used to go everywhere with my parents, never wanting to rest even for a while.

So, old habits die hard and I landed in Bengaluru to kick start my vacations. The moment I stepped into the KempeGowda international airport, I understood why people have been calling Bangalore as a Cosmo all this while. The airport abounded with people from various nationalities and speaking different languages. I headed towards the Decathlon after I came out of the airport.

Decathlon is basically a huge cricket ground and is a one stop for all the sports fans. Decathlon was huge and very well maintained. I put it on my itinerary becauseit was close to the airport and closer to my love for sports. After taking snaps at very possible nook and corner of it, I headed towards Krishnarajapuram at old Madras road to meet my relatives. Krishnarajapuram is in the east of Bengaluru and about 20 km from the main city railway station. It has great connectivity to other metro stations. Also, Vengayyana lake is situated in the very heart of it.

Late in the evening, I explored the locals which were full of shops selling spices and chocolates and things of necessity.

The very next day, I went to the Phoenix Market city mall which is supposed to be one of the largest malls in Bengaluru. The mall, in sooth was magnanimous in nature and had a very glamorous appeal to it.

After a lot of window shopping, I settled for a cup of steaming coffee in one of the shops inside the mall.

Next on my list, I had Iskcon temple which is situated in Rajajinagar part of Bengaluru. It is around 20 km from krishnarajapuram.

Iskcon temple was exquisite in both its construction and atmosphere. The serenity of the place, the sanctity of the main temple and the lovely Prasadam was indeed a blissful end to a hectic day.

I shall continue to write my travel experiences in the next article.
