Life, as we've been told, is all about the ups and downs that come along the way. We're told that sky is the limit and that there will always be a happy ending.

What nobody ever tells you, though, when you're a wide-eyed child, are all the little things that come along with "growing up."

The things that pull you down from your dreaming cloud and force you to plant your feet on the ground.

Things that almost convince you to let go.

1) If you want to shine like a diamond, you’ve got to get cut like a diamond: The only fine line that seperates extraordinary from ordinary is the word 'extra'. Put efforts into things that matter because it's all gonna be okay only when you work for it. There is never an excuse to give up.

2) You will not please everyone: There are too many people to tell you what is right for you, too many people to tell you what's wrong and too many people that expect. But something that you need to remember is that the only person you have to face first thing in the morning is yourself.

3) It is not a cakewalk: Sure, people like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates dropped out and are now known for their successful ventures, but what got them into these universities or the platform where they stand now, in the first place, is their hardwork. Nothing in life is ever free, you always lose something in order to win something.

4) Spontaneity is the sister of creativity: The more effort you make to be creative, the less creativity and spontaneity can result. Creativity is not something to be pursued, but rather, it is something which comes to you when all effort-making and pursuing ends, for only then is the sense of separate self-awareness put at rest.

5) Never mistakes, always lessons: You do not have the time to make mistakes or dwell on them, you do however, have the time to learn and apply. All things are difficult before they are easy, never stop learning and never stop growing.

6) Everyone is different, so your life path will never be like anyone else’s: You're not meant to be drawn from a stencil, you're not meant to be cut from the same cookie cutter. What worked for them may not always work for you. Not everyone will travel the world and not everyone will be the next big thing, and that's okay.

7) It's okay to have nothing going on: Tell yourself this every time you have a lull and feel like you've accomplished nothing. The sun will rise again and you will try to shine again. But, the minute you stop is the minute the show begins to flop.

8) Life is too long: Now that's something new, but it really is, way too long, to give up everytime you hit a setback or to let others decide for you or to worry about what they'll say. Make sure to live the life that 'you only live once', at least this once. Just this once, let yourself make the final calls.

9) Lead The Way: When you find yourself in a situation where everyone looks at each other, it’s time for you to lead. You‘re a leader when you decide to become one. There’s no initiation or a title. Just a decision.

10) Thinking about is not doing; There's a huge difference between the two, choose appropiately. There are seven days in the week and someday isn't one of them, get up and get stuff done.

"Everything you want to be, you already are. You're simply on the path to discovering it.”
