When I jad this book on my twitching palm I read this line,’20 inspiring real life stories’ beneath the title, then I thought , Whoa this book will help me to work and concentrate more on my daily studies but I was totally shocked when I figured out what this book is about to offer me which is more valuable than work and study which is humanism. This book and the stories inside inspire you as a human being.
First of all this book is a gift and gifts like these are blessings . This book just proved that there are still so many angles in this world full ofmonsters. The amazing thing about this book is that, the stories inside are written by common people like you and me and then they are chosen and edited by the great Indian Author Sudha Murty. The strength of this book that each and every story has its own style and tune. We get a change of style in each every story. At the start it can be bothering as we aal have a habit of reading a hole book in one particular style but as you goes on you became habituated. Still this can be a drawback of the book if you totally believe in stying on one style. Apart from this one quality, there many of the things which you learn a story by story. At one point while reading this book, you might have to close the book and try to grabs the situation and have to redirect your thought as this book deals with many concepts of love, acceptance, crime, tragedy, humanity and many more such things.
It will be better if you read one story at a time as each story has something valuable to give away. Again it’s all depends upon your grasping power for emotions and morals. These 20 stories are different from each other. In one story there is boy who have to look after his old grandpa who is suffering from Alzheimer. A common disease in oldies as they forgot about normal things, their family members and act like a child. Another story is of a feature writer who is basically from a Aadivasi tribe and was about to get sold to merchant who export girls in Arab countries. How she saved herself and became what she is now is a thrilling tale. Acid is a story about an acid attack victim. She was not victimized by the boy but also by the society.
