This is a serious topic which is yet to be discussed. Probably,I would have exaggerated a little bit. It's no nail biting thing of course, but what I am about to discuss is the usage of words with greater significance in places where the words completely drift off from their meaning. We have come across usage of words like 'sorry','thank you' and more words which indeed have a great meaning but the usage of these words at insignificant places makes the word sound meaningless.

Earlier, whenever one used the word sorry as an apology,he or she truly meant what they said and proves them of being apologetic of their deeds. Meanwhile, now we can hear these words every now and then, and apart from an apology it has quite much drifted of to be a medium to check a person's ego. Almost everyone of us has done it,including myself. Some people are egoistic indeed, but he should be apologetic only if he or she thinks that they owe an apology and we cannot do anything about it. So,making a person apologise with no interest is completely in vain. An apology owed to a person or a community should really mean something. Now,all of us are getting adapted to these usages every now and then. There are points when we apologise to people without interest,so what I am trying to prove is that,if someone apologises half-heartedly then we see that the apology means nothing to him or her. So,directly or indirectly he or she involuntarily deteriorate the value of the usage of that particular word used in the context.

Some words have more significance than what we mean while we speak. The usage of the word shouldn't be applied on the grounds to check someone's ego. Earlier when someone used to say this word whole heartedly then it really was used as a tool to kill someone's ego,but now whenever a person uses this word,it just develops an alter ego in the person opposite to him or her. Even some of the prominent prose writers had earlier come in to this show of using strongly meaningful words in every place. Maybe that word does fit for the scenario, but we should admit that we say it quite a lot now,and now of that I know, these words are losing their original meaning and the new meaning of these words are obviously not much pleasing.

Great prose writers had earlier pointed out the usage of such words being used in places where the words have no significance. They said that the words like humble, simple and modest are quite often used in unusual places which deteriorate the word's meaning. They said that these words are often used after someone's death to honour that particular person even if he or she is a dictator. Even the death of the cruelest dictators like Hitler and Mussolini's death were marked using these words. So these usages seem to be a fall off from their meanings and prove to be a common word. Whilst we all know that these words even though used very commonly, should be rare of their meaning. So this is why we should stop using these words unnecessarily and instead use a word which is more apt to prove that particular point.
