A MORNING PERSON

The morning persons or the ones who sleep early and wake up early are termed as ‘Early Birds’. Lark, is the kind of bird used to symbolize the morning persons, as they start their day very early. In the same way, the morning persons feel very energetic early in the morning.

WHO IS A NIGHT OWL?
A night owl is an evening person or a person who tends to stay up until late night or the early hours of morning. They are involuntarily unable to fall asleep for several hours, even after the day ends. The term ‘Night Owl’ is primarily derived from owls who are known for their nocturnal habits, as most owls sleep during daytime and hunt in the nights.

The terms morningness and eveningness, are traditionally used by the researchers for the two chronotypes or time types.

WHAT DO THE NIGHT OWLS DO?

  • Night owls generally stay awake until midnight and some extreme night owls stay awake just before or even after dawn.

  • They feel energetic only during the night times and extremely energetic just before they sleep, in the mid nights.

  • The persons who prefer night shifts are mostly night owls, as they find it difficult to adopt to the day shifts.

WHO’S BETTER?

There has always been an ideological war between the night owls and the early birds, about who’s better. The night owls boast to enjoy all the happenings in life while the early birds claims to have better planning of time.

The morning persons are said to be happier and more energetic. They might lower the risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome. While,the night owls might be more creative and more intelligent than early birds, with an increased mental stamina in the late nights.
