The Day 1 collection of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019 pioneered fresh trends that are set to rule our hearts! Most adorable designers put their most fashionable step forward to showcase the Winter/Festive 2019 collection. So let’s have a look at the most stunning looks from the season. It was started on 21st August 2019 to 25th August at the St. Regis Mumbai.
The Union Minister for Textiles, Smriti Zubin Irani, launched Project SU.RE, India’s biggest commitment towards sustainable fashion.
Many known designers have participated and showcased their amazing collections. Some of the designers from New Delhi got the opportunity to showcase their artistic vision at the fashion gala. There were many celebrity showstoppers who represented themselves in a very elegant way. The hashtag #sizedoesn’tmatter took everybody’s heart away. Yes by the famous designer Rina Dhaka showed Plus size collection. Men and women of plus size walked on the ramp and beautifully presented the collection.
Disha Patani slayed her looks in Lakme Fashion week. She wore a black sparkling thigh-high slit outfit by the designer Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. The actress killed the ramp by the amazing black tailored fit full sleeve gown. The whole look was completed by adding smokey eyes.
Whereas our Munni uff Malaika impressed her fans by wearing a maroon high slit dress by the designer DiyaRajvvir. The ruffled butterfly sleeves and a plunging neckline added more glam to the outfit. She completed the look by wet hair look by medium parted and by statement earrings.
So LFW 2019 was all started with none other than the ground-breaking Manish Malhotra's collection on 20th August. Our showstopper Katrina Kaif looked stunning in a black lehenga with gold embroidery.
Designer Manish Showcased his collection Maahrumysha. The collection was all about the Stunning details of Indian Couture.
Actor Farhan Akhtar, along with his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar walked the ramp on the second day of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week 2019 in Mumbai. The couple wowed everyone with their affection. The couple donned color-coordinated ethnic dresses.
Farhan wore an off-white Kurta Pyjama with blue and orange print. Whereas Shibani also had the same print and color on her Lehenga, paired with a small shrug draped.
Ananya Panday walked for both the designers Arpita Mehta and Anushree Reddy. Ananya rocked the ramp, looking like a blockbuster bride in creations with both the designers. The actress donned a stunning flamingo pink embellished floral lehenga, for Arpita.
She paired with a heavily embellished choli with a heavy neckline. For the glam, she went with smokey eyes, pink lips, dewy make-up, and dramatic lashes.
Whereas for the designer Anushree Reddy, she wore a gorgeous ornate pearl and Katdana Lehenga.
She paired it with a heavy embroidered sheer choli and a zari dupatta. Undoubtedly, it was a royal bridal look. She completed the whole look with a heavy emerald choker necklace.
While, Tara closed the show by donning a boho look for designer Ritu Kumar. She wore a slip dress with a white, full-sleeved blouse, layered with long tassels, and knee-length black boots.
Our Bollywood Begum Kareena Kapoor Khan was the showstopper for designer Gauri and Nainika. At the last day of Winter/Festive LFW 2019. Our actress wore a very beautiful black off-shoulder satin gown which was layered with silk tulle.
Kareena set the ramp on fire by her gorgeous looks. Her hair was slicked black. At last, she completed her whole look by wearing a burgundy lipstick.
The collection called FreeYourLips and it was all about to promote freedom of expression.
The designers used lightweight fabrics. Moreover, the lipsticks which were used were matte, the philosophy for using matte lipsticks as they are lightweight. Hence, the fabrics and lipsticks showed the freedom to the line with the sense of women empowerment
The Cocktail actress Diana wore a beautiful cocktail ensemble by the gorgeous designer Ridhi Mehra. She wore a heavily embellished lehenga that made her look like a fairy. She paired it up with a heavy blouse with a deep neckline. She completed the whole look by adding a statement necklace and pinned her hair at one sided.
To balance the whole look she styled her dupatta as a cape. With soft smokey eyes and nude lips, the whole look was completed.
Esha Gupta walked the ramp on the first day of Lakme Fashion Week on 21st August. She wore a plunging neckline sheer dress by the designer Pallavi Mohan. The outfit also includes intricate ruffle details. The high slit added more glam to the outfit. She completed the look by adding dazzling earring. Hair was kept simple, middle parted. With smokey eyes and nude lips, plus silver strappy stilettos, the look was completed.
Kangana wore a blue lehenga with intricate traditional designs by designer Disha Patil. She paired it with a satin blouse. The look was completed by adding a dramatic eye makeup and a pair of blue dangling earrings.
Athiya Setty walked the ramp on Day 2 for the designers Abraham & Thakore. As Day 2 was all about the sustainable Fashion day. So the actress wore a stunning monochrome statement Saree with a twist. With the 9 yards of saree, the actress gave us the 60s vibes. The frilled borders gave more attention to the saree. The saree was paired with a collar blouse with black and white stripes.
The whole look was completed was adding long earrings, smokey cat eyes, shimmery eye shadows and a mauve lips.
The actress wore a gold lehenga with a matching blouse for designer Punit Balana. By adding smokey eyes with nude lips she completed the look.
The actress wore a black and silver jumpsuit with bead work and with a sheer plain tulle cape.
Actress Lisa wore a beautiful Saree by the designer Amit Aggarwal collection called Flux. The high slit with a backless blouse added more glam to the saree.
With minimal makeup and with no accessories, and sleek tied hair, she completed the look.
On Day 5 The love dose actress Urvashi wore a stunning silver full length gown. She looked like a princess. The plunging neckline has embellishments all over. A gorgeous sheer cape was attached with the attire by designer Masumi Mewawalla.
The look was completed by adding statement earrings, smokey eyes with nude lips.
So, taking everything into account, the closing was done with none other than the great designers Gauri and Nainika with the gorgeous showstopper Kareena Kapoor Khan.
