He is the only man on the planet to score 3 double hundreds in one day internationals. The world knows Rohit Sharma as one of the most destructive batsmen in the limited overs format. But besides this, there is another side to 'Hitman' not many are aware of.

During the India tour of Australia 2018 test series, Rohit had to leave midway between the series because he and his wife were blessed with a baby girl. She was named Samaira Sharma. But besides her, there is another Samaira Sharma not many people know about.

Rohit Sharma is the World Wildlife Fund(WWE India) brand ambassador for rhino conservation. Almost 82 percent of the world's rhinoceros population live in India, predominantly Assam, Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Once found all over the Indo Gangetic plane, the Indian rhino has now become an endangered species. Once in an an interview, the Indian vice captain said that he would do everything he can for the protection and the survival of the rhino and make this world a better place for them.

Besides India, Rohit Sharma has long been associated with the cause of protection and conservation of black rhinos in Kenya and Africa. After African Rhino Sudan’s death last year, Sharma allowed his bat and a jersey to be auctioned in London, for protection of the famed Indian one-horned rhinos from poachers, which is alarming in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park. In order to honour his efforts, the Kenya based wildlife conservancy Ol Pejeta Conservancy had named a female rhino after Rohit's daughter. This has been a very touching sign from the wildlife conservancy and Rohit was filled with pride and joy upon knowing this. The destructive batsman expressed his joy in twitter, sharing a post in twitter which read:

"This made us so emotional! This is so special! Conservation of Rhinos is a cause so close to our hearts & Sudan meant so much to us. Thank you @OlPejeta for thishonour. Can’t believe ourtwo month oldhas a Rhino named after her in Africa, unbelievably special."
