The Plan B

This summer holidays, me and few of my school friends planned for a meet up. Most of them are gone to other cities for higher studies. Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Abhijeet and I live in Chandigarh. So my friends came for holidays and we planned to meet a day as its a long time we all have met each other. The best part is that all want to be a part but none want to plan something.

When asked all said “haa bhai mai aaunga. Tu time and kaha milenege bta dio, aa jaunga mai”

(Yes bro, I’m in. You tell me the time and venue I’ll be there)

And I was like “abe plan kon karega?” (Who’ll plan all this)

To which their reply was “Are tum log dekh lena yar. Mujhe bta dena kab aana hai”(You all do that stuff and tell me when we’re meeting.)

Previously, I had to plan alone but this time, I played a master stroke, I ignored the topic. After ten days one of my friend messaged me

“Bro meetup ka plan kro.” (Bro plan for meetup)

This time it was my turn “yarr tum log karo plan. Mujhe bta dena mai aa jaaunga.”(Guys you plan and tell me I’ll be there) and he was like “What?”.

But nothing such happened as we started a war scaled planning. The planning was aimed at rejecting and criticizing others’ idea rather than to share ours. I give you a sample how our chats proceeded.

F1- friend no 1 and so on…

F1:- “Chal Sukhna chalte hai” (Hey let’s go to sukhna lake)

F2:- “B@#%d jitni baar apni shakal nahi dekhi us se zada sukhna dekh chuka hu.” (I’ve seen sukhna lake more than seeing my face)

F3:- “or kya. Abe kuch alag suggest kro be.” (That’s right suggest something better)

F1:- “To bhai tum hi btao.” (So guys you tell .)

F2:- “yarr tum chandigarh me rehte ho, hum to bahar chale gaye hai. Locals ko zada pta hota hai. Tum hi bolo.” (Guys you live in Chandigarh. The locals have a better knowledge. You tell)

That’s how our chats went. But then one of us finally came with a solution of visiting a wildlife reserve near sukhna lake. All of us agreed for that and the date and time was decided.

But then came a twist. The place where we were planning to go, due to extreme hot season, it was closed from 11^thjune. So the plan has to be again changed and for that, in the evening we’re going to have a whatsapp meeting to decide “where to go”. After the failure of plan A, we have to make a plan B.
