1 . The haunting of Hill house

The show is one of the best horror shows I have ever seen . Where is the perfect balance of jumpscares and getting chills after learning more information. The story is very gripping. It’sa story about a family who leaves the hill house after the “accident” and how they try to avoid it but if keeps coming backto haunt them. This show uses a road map to explore this house-as-body metaphor, and it does so with a profound and precise tenderness. It leaves you petrified. There are many hidden ghost figures in the background of each episodes, almost like an Easter egg . The hidden ghosts of Hill House aren’t nameless spooks trapped between spiritual realms; they are personal manifestations for the people they haunt, visual aids for the truths they must accept and vanquish. It’s not a paranormal story so much as a meditation on the distinct way grief and trauma maim the living. And it’s scary as hell.

2. Stranger Things

The most talked show of 2016 and 2017. It’s a sci-fi thriller drama. It’s in asmall Indiana town in 1983 -- inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. It starts of with a boy named Will missing and his mom and the local police investigation leads to some dark government experiments , unnerving supernatural creatures and a extraordinary girl. The while show is very captivating and keeps you on the edge of the seat. Very exciting and interesting as the story unfolds. There are 2 seasons and season 3 releases soon. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It has friendship , love, conspiracies, supernatural powers and mystery. A jam packed show !

3. The Office

This show deserves all the love and appreciation it gets. It’s THE BEST show out there. It’s a mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium. The sbow works so well because all the characters are loveable and real. All of them have human like flaws and the show captured it very well. The mockumentary makes it perfect. It allows us to see the character's perspective on the situation and as a viewer who knows all sides of the story makes us sometime say aww, Holy shit ! And even laugh out loud because of the character having no idea about what’s about to happen or going to happen. Michael Scott literally holds the office and it’s because of him I say “ that’s what she said”. The show has a lot of Easter eggs in every season. You can read about some of them in my other article. The show portrays love and friendships in the best way possible. It makes you laugh, cry , angry , scream and all of the emotions through out the seasons. The writers did a terrific job. This show is the gif factory.

4. Parks and Recreation

Another mockumentary by the same creators and writers of the show office. It’s like a spin off but it totally different. I really enjoyed this show because of Leslie Knope. She is the perfect person we need when it comes to development and public’s benefit. She is a strong female characters who wants nothing but good for the community and for them to have a park. You have characters like Ron Swanson who is a public servant but hates the government. Love me some irony. Tom Haverford who is the ideal teen but this not a teen and always likes to dream big. You have emo queen April and human version of a dog Andy. Ann Perkins who is Leslie’s best friend and even though they are different their friendship only gets stronger. We have sass queen Donna and the one who always creates a mess Jerry. A treat ! Watching this makes me happy!

5.Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brookyln Nine-Nine is another show which only keeps giving. With outstanding humor and talented cast, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has become one of the best sitcoms of this generation. The show has been praised by all the viewers for addressing LGBT+ community issuses .While the show’s character arcs, occasional pranks and jokes are relatable, there are some pretty surprising facts about the show that you have no idea about.Andy Samberg along with Justin, Stephanie, Melissa, Andre, and others have by far been the most influential characters I have seen on TV.

Samberg with his wit, expressions and laugh has the ability to make you want to be like him.

Ray Holt and Kevin have been by far the most loving and hilarious couple i have ever seen, making people laugh by their robotic selves.

And the way humour has found its way through all social issues like racism and workplace harassment all the way to acceptance of homosexuality is hilarious and at the same time important.
