Valley of flowers national park has been declared as a UNESCO world heritage site. Situated at a height of3658 meters this landscape stretches from 2km in breadth to 8 km in length.

The history of the discovery of this renowned park dates back to the year of 1931 when a duo of mountaineers had lost their way post returning from their summit climb and was mesmerized by this flower-filled valley to which it was named as “ Valley of flowers”.
