I think we all know about the recently launched India's second lunar exploration mission. It is developed by ISRO for exploration of surface of moon.

What basically chandrayan means in hindi is a spacecraft which takes us to moon. So this is second series of it, the first one that is the Chandrayan-1 was launched in October 2008 by ISRO.

And it was very successful in doing it was launched for and the greatest of it was it discovered water on moon's surface by its moon mineralogy mapper, and it was the first to discover it.

So talking about Chandrayan 2, it was launched on 22nd july 2019 from Satish Dhawan Space Center at 02:43 PM IST by a GSLV MK-3. It was totally made in India inspired by the 'Make in India '. It had three parts as a lunar orbitor, a lander and a lunar rover named Pragyan.

You can refer to it for more information in details on ISRO's website.

The Chandrayan 2 will land upon the south pole of the moon. The wheeledPragyanrover will move on the lunar surface and will perform on-site chemical analysis for a period of 14 days (one lunar day). The orbiter will perform its mission for one year in a circularized lunar polar orbit of 100 × 100 km.

Launch of Chandrayaan-2 was originally scheduled for 15 July 2019 at 2:51 IST (14 July 2019 21:21 UTC) but was called off due to a technical snag noticed while filling the cryogenic engine of the rocket with helium and was postponed about one hour before launch.

A successful landing would make India the fourth country to achieve asoft landing on the Moon, after the space agencies of theUSSR, theUSAandChina.

So currently as on of 13th August 2019, Chandrayan 2 has left earth's orbit and it will probably reach the south pole of moon on 20th August 2019.

So we hope it will work all as planned and will make ISRO, our nation and also us very proud.

All the best Chandrayan 2. And thank you for reading this🙂.
