Periods can be tough and maintaining your skin during periods is a whole different ball game. Mood swings, PMS, cramps and what not? Who says periods are easy?
Me, being a sufferer of severe menstrual cramps, I understand how rough periods are. My cramps are usually so severe that I have to take at least 2 pain killers to reduce my pain. On the first day, I usually like to take a day off to relax my body because honestly, that's what your body needs during periods.
No matter you have cramps or not, every body is different and needs different type of treatments during periods but I think, one thing that's common is giving yourself at least 1 day to relax and let your body feel free.
Starting off, the first and foremost thing you need is a bath!
I understand, periods make your body weak and specially when you have cramps you can barely move. For this, having a pain killer is not the greatest option. Try taking a warm shower. This will relax your body and reduce the pain. Obviously the freshness after this is beyond compare because we women knows that a delightful bath on a periods and a regular day is different.
The next thing that I want to mention is sleep. Oh yeah, here we are at the best thing about life- SLEEP! Isn't sleeping is amazing? Just relax. And sleeping naked? Oh! Don't even talk about it, it's just Amazing.
Coming back to the topic, your body really needs extra relaxation during periods and for the obvious reasons. Take extra sleep either during morning or afternoon. Let your body take extra advantage of bearing pain and loads of blood loss.
Now boosting your skin is different than letting your body relax. Here is a step by step guide on how to boost your skin during periods. This definitely depends on your skin and the products you choose to use, so be with it.
1. Wash your face (obviously)
Washing your face is obviously the first step. Take your time to let the face wash work for your skin. Keep running the face wash work for your skin. Keep running the face wash gently on your skin in clockwise circular motion. Then wash off and feel free!!!!👌
2. Consider a sheet mask
Sheet masks are the best thing when you want to spend time on yourself and on your skin.
Place the sheet mask correctly on your skin and relax back for 15 minutes. Remove the sheet mask and then gently massage the serum into your skin.
Face mask ensures to hold on to natural oils of your skin and protects it from various kinds of infections. For boosting your mood, at least give 2 or 3 days to sheet marks in a week.
3. Toning you face
Toning is the earliest and the simplest way to make your skin glow and healthy. All it takes is a minute to apply and do wonders.
Keep your makeup kit packed with at least 2 types of toner for your different needs and mood. Use the one which you feel like on your rough day.
