My Id is gangnam beauty is a K-Drama that was aired in 2018. It is known to be one of the most popular and entertaining show of the kdrama. The story revolves around the life of a college student who undergo the cosmetic surgery as she was bullied in school because of her face appearance.

The main cast of this show includes IM Soo Hyang, Cha Eun Woo, Jo Woo Ri, Kwak Dong Yeon.

In reality, the age gap between Cha Eun Woo and Im Soo Hyang is 7 years

Cha Eun Woo who played the role of Do Kyung Deol and Im Soo-Hyang who played Kang Mi Rae has an age difference of 7 years. While Soo-Hyung is 28 years old, Cha Eun Woo age is just 21 years old. But it doesn't matter. Their chemistry in the K-Drama was perfect and audience really liked it.

It is based on Popular Webtoon series "My Id is gangnam beauty" which was published in April, 2016 by Gi Maeng by Naver Webtoon.

The production decided not to show the face of younger "Kang Mi Rae"

The production thought that they should not set any standard which can be considered "Unattractive" because this might offend viewers. So, they went for not showing her face at all.

Do Hee's character Oh Hyun Jung was not included in Webtoon series

In original Webtoon series, there was no character of Oh Hyun Jung and Kang Mi Rae was all alone in school. But it was difficult to show Kang Mi Rae's inner thoughts, so they created the character Oh Hyun Jung. Oh Hyun Jung is best friend of Mi Rae and always supports and fights for her.

This is the second time Soo Hyang and Dong Eun acted in K-Drama

First time when they worked together was in show "Inspiring generations" which was aired in the year 2014. But here in this K-Drama, they are good friends and Dong Eun who played the character Char Woo young had feelings for Mi Rae. While in "Inspiring Generations", they didn't have many scenes together.

This Korean drama is the highest rated Korean dramas in the TV history. It reflects not only on the college life but also tells us about the discrimination on beauty standards and appearance.
