The world is changing, it gradually moves towards the new technologies, such as AI, Machine Learning and Automation etc. And electric vehicle is not an exception. Nowadays electric car is not slow, inefficient and not have the huge power consumption what it used to be.

Elon Musk and his company Tesla motor created a new possibility for upcoming future, which holds the key of the new era of electric car. Not to mention they want to expand their business. There’s no denying that the company wants to enter the Indian market.

Musk earlier had stated “Hopefully, partial presence in India, Africa & South America end of next year, with broader expansion in 2020”.

So which one ?

Model 3 would be their first car which could possibly hit the Indian market as it is the most affordable Tesla car everand its expected price is Rs 35 lakhs approx in 2019. Our honorablePM Narendra Modi was given a presentation by Musk on the electric car technologies in the works and how his company plans to change the face of automobile industry. Musk had even impressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the power-wall technology of Tesla Motors.

Sadly though, Tesla has not yet come to India. It was in 2015 that PM Modi tweeted how he was impressed by the power-wall technology of Tesla motors which stores electricity in a battery for long term. In fact, an all-electric Tesla Model X SUV was seen on the roads of Mumbai last year as well.

He first indicated the India entry saying - "Would love to be in India. Some challenging government regulations, unfortunately" and also said "Deepak Ahuja, our CFO, is from India. Tesla will be there as soon as he believes we should."

Some more tweets followed as well describing the foucus of them.

Though it might face some competition due to it's high price. While we are waiting for Tesla to come to India, we certainly hope that Musk will create a concrete plan for India.
