Is Tiktok Safe?

TikTok is a media app for creating and sharing short music videos.This media app was launched in China in september 2016 and was introduced overseas after one year.In the year 2018, it was available in over 150 markets, and in 75 languages. This application allows users to create short music videos of 3-15 seconds and short looping videos of 3-60 seconds. In July 2018, the app had more than 500 million users globally.First it was named as musically which was a startup started in Shanghai but later on TikTok merged with musically and thus today it is known as TikTok across the world.

This app is mostly famous within the teenagers and about 98% of the people are between the age group of 15-21 who are the most active members of Tiktok.Many instagram bloggers and social influencers also use this app and TikTok actually pay them to promote there app within the society with exciting foriegn trips,hampers and clique goodies.Teenagers love this app as instantly it installs all the new and old dialoges and songs of all movies and are filled with beautiful exciting filters.And thus you can also cross post the content into different apps.

But the question stands for many people across the globe that is this app really safe or not?The contents which are posted or the videos are they safe or not?Many parents were actually concern about this issue as the app sometimes suggest some videos which have inappropriate language which is not suitable to listen to for a younger child.Also the app promotes such challenges which are somtimes dangerous to do.Recently after the kiki challenge which involved the steps to match with a moving car was extremely dangerous as thousands of people failed to do the challenge and most of them met with an accidents while doing the steps,which in turn raised the question of banning the app in certain countries.

Many people criticize the app by making memes as many of the TikTok videos are in actual damn funny and thus are trolled very much.Unlike them there were certain videos were made in which the content that was shown it was not something suitable to post in public and raised again the question to put a ban on the app.TikTok thus got the attention politically also as a minister of Tamil Nadu named M.Manikandan requested to the central government to put a bann on this app as he thought that the app is degrading culture,encouraging pornography,besides causing law and order problems.He also quoted that he shall seek ban on this app just like on blue whale game.

TikTok have there own printed logo T-Shirts,Pop Sockets,Mobile Back Covers,Bags etc.,which are promoted by these famous musers.As well as many famous clothing sites,mobile brands,food chains etc. also approach these users to promote there sites and brands as they are the teen influencer and very famous across the country.Thus,as you read above the app is a complete entertainment app indeed but still it is upto us that how we use it.There indeed should not be such challenges which can take some one's life or can hurt someone but can in turn be used for something good to spread among the younger generation.
