Adolescence is the phase following the onset of puberty during which a child grows into adult. It’s the transition stage between childhood and adulthood. Adolescence is also equated to both terms ‘puberty’and ‘teenageyears’.A person goes through biological as well as mental changes during this period which arw in turn very difficult to handle together.I fully agree that this stage in the human life cycle is most difficult.

Adolescence is basically a time of storm and stress. This concept may be recognised in the various dimensions of self. During this, hormones begin to react at various moments. The ethical self is most important in my perspective because it defines an individual’s value system.

Teenagers are faced with peer pressure at this stage, hence, arising problems in knowing what’s right and wrong. Surely, adolescence makes a person an emotional mess but the wisdom it imparts is necessary for one’s self growth. I think parents should be extremely supportive during this phase and communication should be there so that they know about their child’s problem.

This phase makes the people aware about themselves and as the saying goes ‘a caterpillar has to struggle before it develops into a beautiful butterfly.'
