Saheliyon-ki-Bari, or the Garden of the Maidens is a major garden and also a famous tourist spot in Udaipur. It is a beautiful place surrounded by fountains, kiosks, a lotus pool, and marble elephants. A small science museum is also located in the middle, which stores a collection of unique artifacts and scientific wonders. It is located on the banks of the famous Fateh Sagar Lake.
It is said that this garden was presented to the Queen by the King, who was accompanied by 48 maidens after her marriage. To provide pleasurable moments to them, away from the court, this garden was constructed and hence it is named so. The queen used to visit the garden with her maidens and companions and take a stroll and spend leisurely time.
