Paris: The City Of Lights

Paris. The City of Lights. The capital of France.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word Paris? I'm sure the image of the Eiffel Tower pops up in your mind. Also, you start imagining lights, fashion, and art. It is the most populous city in France and one of the major cities in Europe. To visit Paris is a dream for a large number of people, as the French culture, the fashion, the language, everything fascinates us to the core.

I've been a student of French during high school, and ever since then, all my batchmates and I have dreamt of visiting the country and the capital once, having learned a lot about it. I could say it is a life goal to be standing with the best of my friends and loved ones in front of the Eiffel and getting a picture clicked and spending my own money on fulfilling my dreams.

France is well known for its museums, like the world-famous Louvre. It is well known for the unique structure of the Louvre pyramid and an amazing collection of art, including the world's most famous painting, the 'Monalisa'. It is the largest museum in the world and was the most visited art museum in the world in 2018. Who wouldn't be attracted to a huge pyramid made entirely of glass, surrounded by the world's most famous art? I surely am.

Then come the monuments. La tour Eiffel. The Eiffel Tower. The tallest structure in Paris. A wrought-iron tower standing in Paris for years. Huge, tall and with wonderful architecture. It is a symbol of France and a trip to the country is incomplete without a trip to the Eiffel. In fact, quite a lot of people visit only to see the Eiffel Tower. Also, there is the famous cathedral of Notre-Dame and another famous museum, Musée d'Orsay.

Now, when you're in Paris, wouldn't you like to have a taste of the world's most famous wine? France is one of the largest wine producers in the world and produces famous wines like the Bourgogne and the Bordeaux. The amazing French cheese like the Camembert and the Gruyere is also very famous.

And last but not least, Fashion. A factor which attracts a large number of youngsters and fashionistas who want to explore and learn about fashion and to know about the city which is home to the famous fashion brands and designers like Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, and many others. The city reflects the French culture and fashion and is the center that provides the world its most popular and prominent fashion designers of the coming era.

It is also one of the most favored urban cities in the world where people would like to be settled. Paris gives you a rich life full of a lot of adventures and promises to be exciting every day, as the French culture never ceases to amaze. To live in the city of lights would surely be a dream come true.
