What is Lapland?
Lapland is a vast geographical area laying in the northern most part of Scandinavia spreading to the area of four different countries: Finland, Russia, Norway and Sweden. This land consists of untouched wilderness of fells, reindeers, and Northern lights since only two persons/km square resides here.

What does midnight sun at Lapland refer to?
Here, there is nothing like dark sky at summers. The summer nights are just a name where magical midnight sun embellishes at sky all time for approximately four months, April to August.

It is no surprise that Lapland is often called the 'Land of the Midnight Sun'.

What kind of clothes are worn at Lapland?
During summers the temperature can reach to 30°Celsius while for winters it can go till -40°Celsius
For summers(June - August), the most important thing is to wear good boots. During day some light wear clothes can be pulled while for the evenings, something warm like a pullover will do. It's also suggested to bring waterproof jacket and a hat to be protected from the sun and insects.

On the other hand, for winters(August - April), the most important thing to dress up in layers.

First there is a good thermal long innerwear, then another later of something warm like wool or fleece. On the top of it, you need a good garment preferably water and wind proof. You ought to cover from head to toe hence the next thing is a hat to cover your head.

Winter wear can be rented from the hotel.

What are northern lights or Aurora Borealis?

It is a natural phenomenon that occurs in night sky between end of August and April, which is winter here. These lights are formed when solar winds hits Earth's upper atmosphere about 100 km high in the sky. The Earth's magnetic field directs the flow of electrons from the sun to the magnetosphere above the magnetic North and South Pole. That's why the best places to see Aurora are above the Arctic circles.

Aurora also occur at the summer but, the Midnight Sun and light sky of summer nights makes them invisible to seeing them.

There water is cleanest you find on the planet, amazing natural phenomenon to see at sky, a well-serving accommodation, this resort at Arctic circle is apparently a world of its own.
