However, everyone tends to have a lot of concerns regarding the ingredients being used in our toiletries and cosmetics despite the guarantees and assurances given out by the producers. So here’s an easy way to make your own bath bomb at home, using easily available and safe ingredients.

Let’s get started!

What’s required?

1.Baking soda
2.Citric acid
3.Corn starch
4.Epsom salt (soothes sore muscles)
5.Soap coloring or food coloring of your choice
6.Plastic mould (of your favorite shape)
7.Castor oil
8.Some essential oil ; peppermint or any of your choice

Instructions

1.Firstly mix the dry ingredients together

Half cup of baking soda, Quarter cup of Epsom salt, Quarter cup of corn starch, Quarter cup of citric acid.

Whisk it together

2.Take a smaller bowl and add three teaspoons of Castor oil, One tbsp of essential oil, few drops of soap or food coloring and a tbsp of water and ix it well.

3.Drop small drops of the liquid into the bowl of dry ingredients part by part

4.You’ll notice small clumps being formed. Keep whisking it until you get an even consistency.

5.Fill the moulds with the mixture and tightly close it.

6.You can add edible glitters in the middle of your mixture to make your bath bomb more fun!

7.Refrigerate it for 30minutes – 1hour if you want to use it right away or leave it overnight.
8.Once you take it out, gently tap on the container on both side so that it comes off easily.
9.Your bath bomb is ready to use!!

TIP- For moulds, you can use egg containers, Christmas ball containers and any tiny plastic containers you find around your home.
