Antarctica is 5^th biggest continent of our world and its coldest one. Here we don’t see any land, sunlight and any kind of greenery. If I have to describe it in one word then it’s a huge iceberg. 14 million² area and 70% water of whole world is right there. Only penguins and glaciers come in our mind whenever we thought about Antarctica but believe me so many hidden secrets of our earth are just there trapped in snow.

1. Underground Lakes

If you have the basic knowledge of geography then you can understand that North Pole and South Pole are coldest region of our planet and Antarctica where the temperature goes to -90^o Celsius, so there is no chance of moisture right? No, the shocking thing is below the thick layer of snow there are many underground lakes present. Lake Vostok is biggest underground lake of Antarctica and it is present below the layer of 4km snow. Water below the snow seems strange to us but scientists have an easy answer which is water below the snow is in liquid form due to high pressure and due to heat of earth’s core water remains in liquid form. In these lakes many unique and interesting eco-system are situated. These eco-systems are only present in these lakes in whole earth.

2. Elongated Skulls

The first skulls of human head found in Antarctica are elongated skulls. These skulls have abnormally big back side of it and they seem more like aliens. According to scientists these skulls are like this due to some stupid kind of rituals in which the head of some small castes people are forced by some tools and then they become elongated skulls. These skulls of Antarctica are very much similar to the skulls found in Peru and Egypt. This fact also strengthens the theory of tectonic plate’s separations.

3. Blood Waterfalls

In 1911 a geologist of Australia found these blood waterfalls in Taylor glacier. In this water fall the color of water is like blood, firstly scientists thought that due to red algae in this water its color is red but after some more researches we found that there is large quantity of iron-oxide and due to this the color of water is red.
