A Tribute To Bhagyaraj - "King Of Screenplay"

Today, the director, screenplay writer, actor “Mr. K. Bhagyaraj” has passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest. His contribution to cinema is so remarkable that, till today, new directors who come to the industry find his work as a source of reference. Bhagyaraj made movies focusing on middle-class people's lives, struggles, romance and a little social experimentation. He made sure that the movies had a pinch of humour which would make people laugh and make us think about the point, and he changed the style of commercial hero portrayal.

Mr. K. Bhagyaraj was born on January 7, 1953, near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. He worked as an assistant director under the late Bharathiraja and G. Ramakrishnan. This experience later paved the way for the successful director, screenplay writer and actor.

Personal life:

Mr. K. Bhagyaraj married actress Praveena in 1981. She passed away in 1983 due to jaundice. After this, he married actress Poornima Jayaram in 1984. Mr. K. Bhagyaraj has two children with Poornima Jayaram. They are Saranya Bhagyaraj and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj.
