London Bridge is falling down

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady.

One of the theories relate tothe destruction of London Bridge by Olaf II of Norway in 1014
This showed the victory ofKing Olaf against Britain.

It was said that the original song was something like:

London Bridge is broken down.
Gold is won, and bright renown.
Shields resounding,
War-horns sounding,
Hild is shouting in the din!
Arrows singing,
Mail-coats ringing
Odin makes our Olaf win!

SO this poem was said to signify the king's victory by sabotaging London's peace.
