Om Birla was born on November 23, 1962 and is an student from government commerce College , Kota Birla started his journey in politics as a student leader and was elected to the Rajasthan assembly for three consecutive terms in 2003,2008 and 2013.

Birla is a quintessential party worker and quite active in the BJP’s youth wing, the Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha. He is also associated with the cooperative movement in Rajasthan and helped launch the 'Super Bazar' scheme while serving as the vice chairman of the national cooperative consumer association limited.

Birla states he was imprisoned in Uttar Pradesh due to activate participation in the Ram Mandir movement. He also identifies himself as a primary member of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh. He worked for a lot of years for the RSS.

Asked more than 500 questions in the 13th Rajasthan legislative assembly and his name was included in ' Sadan ke sitare' at last 6 times for participating in debates in the house. He is a very good orator and particiapted in a lot of debates which show cases his speaking skills. He has a pure heart who always wants to work for the development and upliftment of his country.

Birla's nomination for the lok sabha speaker post also has the backing of NON-NDA parties such as tha YSR, Congress party (VSRCP) and the Biju Janta dal (BJD).

He won his first lok sabha election in 2014 and was again elected this year from Rajasthan's Kota Bandi seat. Birla defeated Congress's Ram Narayan Mina with the margin of 2.5 lakh votes in the recently concluded general election.

He succeeds eight time MP Sumitra Mahajan as tha lok sabha speaker a post traditional held by senior MP's. He is a gem in the lok sabha. We are looking forward tro witness some good steps that might be taken by him.

However this is not the first time that a relative new comer has occupied the position. In 1996, Telugu deram party (TDP) leader GMC Balayogi, also a two time MP then was elected as the speaker in the lower house of parliament.

He has also started a free meal program and a medicine bank to supply required medicines free of cost for poor people. He has done incredible job to help other people. He's an inspration to all the people out there. He has been loved by the citizens of the India. We need more politicains like him. He is a real achiever and a great person.
