A Concise Description Of Sherlock Holmes Season 3

Episode 1 The Empty Hearse

After around two years of Sherlock’s improbable death which cleared Moriarty’s accusations of fake detective, Mycroft brings him back to London, while the rest are still unaware of the fact. John has now got a girlfriend, Mary, whom John intends to propose for marriage in a restaurant. Sherlock reveals his identity to John at the restaurant and gets hit by John three times in three different restaurants. John refuses to accompany Sherlock ever again, so Sherlock insists Molly to his job. Later it is shown that John is kidnapped and Molly receives a message in her phone which she showed to Sherlock and they both set off to rescue John. After this incident, Sherlock and John entered an abandoned station and finally discovered a carriage rigged with explosives, which Sherlock somehow manages to defuse. The episode ends with Sherlock visiting Anderson and telling him how he faked his death and the man behind who set that explosive carriage got arrested.

Episode 2 The Sign of Three

The episode starts with Lestrade and Seargant Donovan going to arrest the Criminal Waters family but when Lestrade receives a text from Sherlock asking for help, he dashed to Baker Street only to discover that Sherlock was finding it really difficult to write the best man speech for John’s wedding to Mary. On the day of John’s wedding, he meets his former army CO , Major James Sholto, who was receiving death threats. Sherlock gives his best man speech describing all the cases where John had been a real help to Sherlock. In the end Sherlock saved Sholto and leaved the reception alone realizing the fact that his relation with John will never be the same.

Episode 3 His Last Vow

John and Mary are married now and John finds Sherlock under the influence of drugs in a cracked house, to which Sherlock said that he was uncover for some case. Sherlock was investigating Charles Augustus Magnussen and for that purpose only Sherlock gets into a relationship with Jannie who is Magnussen’s personal assistant. When Sherlock and John breaks into Magnussen’s office they find Jannie dead and Mary holding Magnussen at gunpoint. On seeing Sherlock, mary shoots him but fortunately Sherlock survives. Sherlock and John discovers Mary’s secret but John decides not to destroy his love for her. In the end it comes out that it was Magnussen who had kidnapped John in The Empty Hearse, Sherlock shoots Magnussen but is still spared from trial and sent on a highly dangerous mission in the Eastern Europe. But Sherlock was called back within minutes because Jim Moriarty was back again.
