MEDICAL PROFESSION IS A FEAT, IT REQUIRES SACRIFICE, PURITY OF THOUGHTS AND PURITY OF SOUL.

Doctors in our country are considered equivalent to god , as they have the capability to save a person fromnear-a - death situation. It is considered as one of “the purest of the pure profession”. But what would happen, when such a noble profession too, couldn’t be left untouched by the chains of greed and corruption. It is rightly said that there is enough for ones need but not for his greed .The profession hosts , the finest talents in it andwith the enthusiasm of doing something good for the society , which is the reason it is called the noblest of the noble profession, so is the reason why doctors, nurses and other medical officers have such a high reputation in the society. But what would happen when, the doctors too, start doing frauds? The ones who save our lives, would become the ones ruining it, isn’t it true?

Medical frauds differ from the other white collarcrimes, as they prove to be more fatal in nature . They act as a felony , that proves to be more harmful than a misdemeanordue to the irreparable nature of the loss caused. It is because of the untrained nature of the professionals being added in the hospitals , the mortality rate of the patients increases , and what about the wrongs, they do in order to earn a little more money .It is even observed, that it is not always the money, that makes them do the wrong , even the in-availability of the equipment , is a major reason for the medical fraud to take place in the country.

There was a recent incident in Uttar Pradesh , which was a result of the ignorance of the medical official on duty there , he injected 21 people with the same contaminated syringe. One of the persons, from the 21 was suffering from HIV and that people turned out to be the host for the disease to others. But the question is that ,who was at fault here? Was it the doctor? I guess , to some extent he was , but why was he using the same syringe for all , when there is a provision for disposable syringes? The answer is that he was not provided one, so now, what do you think , who was at fault?

Have you ever noticeda medical hospital bill? I would really suggestyou, to note one , the very next time you come across one . You would find, on having a zoomed look on the bill, that , there are many services for whichyou are charged , but those were never given to you. Adding on the to the list of frauds, that all of us are quite familiar with is, when the doctor pens down a whole lot of tests , even those that are in no connectionwith the symptoms one is having. That is not only the fault of the medical services I guess, because it is us, who have believed that the system ought to be like this and that it can’t be changed.

The changes that need to be done in order to make the system better , includes that the authorities need to tell the public , the complete data related to the medicalofficials with fake degree and a monthly training should be given to the doctors in order to make them well to do with the worst of worse situations. It is only then that the nobleness of the profession could be saved. Only when all of us wouldbe aware about the facts, then only , the frauds could come to an end.

when "I" is replaced by "WE" ..... even ILLNESS becomes WELLNESS
