Judiciary along with media, is considered as the forth pillar of democracy , which is the reason why it needs to used with care and is of fragile nature. In today’s world, I don’t think so , that there could be any person who would not be influenced by the news shown on any of the media devices present , may it be social media , print media , broadcast media and out of home media.

Media plays a significant role in each and every sector. Though, media faces a lot of criticism about the wrongs shown and even it is said that , they have been paid for the view , which is evenright to a certain extent. But the fact that , media is the tool for raising voice against a wrong done and making it out to be right, can’t be denied. There are various advantages of media , which includes the expose of scams, frauds, corruption, murders and various other crime.

Have you ever got this thought that a particular political party has paid a news channel for increasing its followers? Well, if we go depth, it is quite evident that the answer to the question above is a pure yes. Just note the next time , when you would be watch a news channel, the trend of the news would be quite similar. If you would watch “the times group”, it is quite sure that you would have a news that in political support of BJP, earlier it used to support the government of Indira Gandhi. The problem becomes even worse at the time of elections, when the paying for a news shown in the media isincreased in the scenario. But is it really true, that the media is paid for a view?

Thought there are claims for media being paid, but there are the ones who understand their responsibility for telling the public the right thing, the truth. The role of media is to highlight the matters that are said to have been suppressed otherwise, that is what the power of media is. Media enables a person to get knowledge regarding various political and social issues, targeting both global and local audience. All thanks to the media because of which people are exposed with their real faces in front of the world.

The ethics in media are very important for the welfare of a nation and it is due to these ethics, the power of media prevails. Media is a boon ifit provides the right information to the society , but at the sametime, it also has the power to destroy a society if not used carefully.
