Pulse Generator

Pacemaker is electronic pulse generator which controls the heartbeat. It may be used during operation as well as it can be kept permanently to control heartbeat.

Heart beats at uniform pattern but during several conditions it beats too fast or too slow. In such condition pacemaker plays key role. Similarly, because of ageing it also beats in irregular manner.

Pacemaker which is a small pulse generator sends artificial signal to improper working chamber of heart to beat it properly. It can be attached to one chamber or multiple chamber according to beating pattern or which chamber has problem in beating regularly.

Wires are attached to different chamber as shown in the figure. One end is connected to the heart chamber while other is given to the pulse generator. Pulse generator passes pulses through heart to make it beat accordingly, this makes the heart beat according to pulse generator not considering pulses from heart.
