The colours of romance and a chime of love, the shades of pain and the effulgence of smile, all these can be found in Laila-Majnu: A film by imtiaz Ali. Here in this article, I'll be giving you 5 reasons why it is a must watch.

Adaptation

This film is an adaptationof an Arab originated story. The tale of Majnoon Layla, the two lovers who were separated by their family and world till they lose their lives in love. The movie is slightly remodled by the story tellers and they gave a backdrop of Kashmir and political rivalries. This added a pinch of salt to make the food tastier.

Dialogues

The dialogues in the movie are my favourite. The conversation between Qais and laila, varying from "Koi baat nahi. Main bhi to flirt hoon, dono mil k flirt krenge!" to "Tumhen kya lagta hai yeh hum kar rahe hain?" are something which would make you watch them again and again. Imtiaz has also adopted a story by Rumi in his movie, the latter part where qais became majnu and started talking gibberish.

Songs

The music complements the story as well. Ranging from "Sarphiri" to "tum" the lyrics has a power to take you in a most romantic mode. If you are looking for some song which you can listen on repeat, then, 'Tum nazar me raho~khabar kisi ko naa ho' is definitely the one. The Atif Aslam and sherya Ghoshal duo would bring a magic in your playlist. Just download it...NOW!

Love

Most of the Bollywood films are about how the lovers in the story(like of Karan Johar's directorials) are more blessed than others. This movie is a perfect change in this way. The characters are real who have flaws, who ain't perfect. But their love for each other is special and this is what this film is all about. They were separated by their family(like the original majoon Layla story), Layla get married to somebody else, they met after four years when they thought they nothing left to lose then societal norm stood in their way and they lose each other again.

It is a film by Imtiaz Ali

Believe me or not but this is the first and the actual reason I watched this movie. Watching Ali's movie is like listening to a storyteller who can read your thoughts and make you extract ONLY WHAT YOU NEED fromthe film. Be it Tamasha or Love Aaj Kal, his movies made me to believe in true love. His movies taught me that no matter how much you tried, you can't escape your fate. It was Jab Harry Met Sejal which remarked that you can encounter love anytime, anywhere! Love has no boundaries.

Have you watched the movie yet?
If yes, tell me how was your experience??
If No, go watch it now and then we'll discuss it in comments.

Happy Reading.
