We are halfway through this year, and we have already been treated with a lot of great movies this time. Horror has been one particularly exciting genre so far in 2019 that has given some of the most talked of films so far. It's always exciting to see which new movie made an impact and delivered great scares. Here's a list of the top 4 so far. So get on your couch, turn off the lights, turn on the volume, get yourself some popcorns and sides and enjoy these horrifying movies alone at night. Have a look at them, and let's see if you have the guts to binge watch all of them.
1. Pledge
In this one, there is something inherently strange and creepy about the college fraternity. They can seem to be resembling cults and hazing rituals which are so controversial. A concept is as bizarre as this one seems to be the perfect setting for a horror movie. It follows a group of young college students looking forward to joining an exclusive club to find the initiation that turns out to be more severe than they had imagined.
2. The Final Wish
“You got to be careful what you wish for"is an expression well known that seems to fit perfectly as a moral to a lot of horror movies. This movie uses the same lesson as a basis for its creepy tale where a family loses their father and finds and finds a strange belonging. They later discover that the object possesses some extraordinary abilities which come with a high price.
3. The Golem
The golem is another top historical horror movie which uses a creepy young child as its so-called "Monster." It is based on the Jewish legend as is set in a small Jewish community that gets struck with a plague. A woman decides to great a terrifying protector when they face attacks from its invaders.
4. Hagazussa: A Heathen’s curse
It is the best-reviewed horror movie of the year so far that only a few people have heard of. It is a German horror movie which was released last year in its home country but reached the Western audiences in 2019. It is set in a remote mountain community and follows a woman who is named a witch by the men rulers of the city.
