Cricket is a game which is rarely denied by anyone in most parts of the world. In most of the cricket loving nations, playing for the national cricket team is a dream that seeds on the minds of most of the young boys and girls.

In this season of the cricket world cup, there are teams we love, teams we support and some teams which we wish might lose as well. But, above all there is always a team we love irrespective of the number of wins they register. One such team which have been able to gain a lot of popularity and attract love from people all over the world is the Afghanistan Cricket team.

Reasons for their upliftment

Few of the big reasons for their overwhelming support over the years is the superstar duo, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan being able to catch eyes with their magical all-round performances both with the bat and ball. When Rashid Khan was picked in the IPL, it caught a lot of attention as he was very little heard and hailed from a place which had less records of being a successful team in the international circuit. Rashid started brilliantly in his debut season of the Indian Premiere League and there wasn’t any looking back from that from Rashid Khan who proudly holds the record of being the no.1 ODI ranked bowler in the ICC rankings. Md. Nabi is also not far behind Rashid in terms of both popularity and quality. Nabi gained his stardom initially from the Big Bash league when his batting and orthodox off-spin impressed all the cricket lovers around the globe.

Afghanistan cricket is not entirely dependent on Rashid and Nabi, but a bunch of extremely talented cricketers like Mujib Ur Rahman, Md. Shahzad etc are making the cricketing journey of Afghanistan look really bright.
