You would have lived your life a lot. In your life you would have made mistakes, hurted a lot of people with small misunderstandings, also you would have done something good to the people in a positive way. It's fine to take an opportunity to learn from your past because you will have so much to be learnt and gained from it.

Embrace your scars, they are a tribute to your past and your struggles. If not lemon juice and honey will get rid of them

Our past helps our present and future to know how far you have crossed through, looking back into the past can be therapeutic in many ways. We can use this way as an encouragement to go forward. During difficult times in life, through the pain we learn and grow.

The time you live on the past is stolen from your future. If you spend every second in thinking your problems it will take you way from finding it's solution. It makes no sense to keeping worrying about the past events, you can use them as a lesson to be learnt to enter into a whole new life. You should set your mind in a good sense to manage your memories in a way that enhance the quality of your life.

As the ancient thinker Euripides noted,

There is in worst of fortune the best chances for a happy change.

Life's biggest regrets reveals life's greatest chances. If you have failed many a times than others, it means you are living your life to the fullest. Those who take more chances naturally they will experience a lot of failures in which they get to know more about the reality. You will gain a boldness to try something and fail than not trying at all. It is essential to honour your past, as it helps you to reach the levels of enlightment. In order to live a happy life, we have to offload all your negative experience from your past. If you go on living with your past then you are going to get mentally and physically affected.

Don't regret anything in your past life, look back and smile because it made you who you are today. The essence of true life success is not the position one has attainted, it it the obstacles that he/she has overcome while trying to achieve. Honour your past than dwelling on it.
