Made in heaven is a popular web series streaming on Amazon prime. The series chronicles the lives of Tara and Karan, two wedding planners in Delhi running an agency named Made in Heaven. Season 1 has 9 episodes, comprising each of approximately 45-50 minutes. It is an Indian web series.

Made in Heaven portrays today’s India and the difficulties faced by the wedding planners while doing their jobs. It talks about the different kind of people, communities,andthe reasons for the failure of marriages. The problems faced by the bride,for example, the Dowry system and other factorsare deeply discussed in this series.

Beginning with thefirst episode, TaraKhannaand KaranMehrastart up there venture “MadeInHeaven” in Delhi.AngadRoshan, heir to theRoshanCyclesempired, is marrying toAliyaSaxena, a journalist. For theRoshans, something is amiss. After many disputes finally the bride and groom get married.

The second episode, deals with a Dubai Princess,Harsimranmarrying toJoginder.Harsimranwanted her favorite super-star to headline the first night of the ceremonies and got more riding on it than meets the eye.

The thirdepisode,is the episode which I personally loved the most. It was about a widow namedGayatriwhowasmarryingBijoy, a Bengali architect, at the age of sixty. Everyone supported her exceptGayatri’sown children. But, later Tara convinced them and they also became the part of the wedding

The fourth episode deals with the combination of lust and commitments. Karan wasgay and his college friend Bubble is getting married to a man that Karan knows a bit better than he would have hoped.On the other hand,PriyankaMishra is marrying Vishal, an IAS officer and the plan is to fund the wedding themselves.ButVishal’s parents demandedPriyanka’sparents of dowry at the last moment. WhenPriyankagot to know about the sameshe left the wedding and fled the altar.

The fifth episode, “A Marriage Of Convenience” talks about a contest that is conducted byJeetGill, a wealthy NRI, who promisesan American life to his wife, which is a big deal for the girls ofLudhiyana.SukhmaniSadanawins the contest and gets married toJeetGill, but has to deal with some hidden and unaddressed issues.

The sixth episode, “Something Old, Something New” briefs us about the Old Indian System addressing rituals and beliefslikeManglik, which is said to be bad for the family. In order to be pure again, the girlis forced to get married to atree first and then to the Prince Charming.

The seventh episode tells us about a Royal Affair as the title itself suggests. SamarRanawat, a Rajput prince, is marryingDevyaniSingh, a pilot making,the first working woman in the royal household. A lavish celebration of progress and woman empowerment is interrupted when amehendiwaliis sexually assaulted during an event. Tara and Karan promise to get the girl justice while the wedding goes ahead as planned.

In the next episode,TaranaAli is getting married and is using the opportunity to make a music video for herself despite her father going into debt.

In the last episode, “The Great Escape” Political party leaderBrajeshYadav’sdaughter is forced to wed Vishal Singh, a man groomed to be the next prime minister. Tara and Karan uncover the harsh truth, and were stuck between their principles and their business.
