13 Reasons Why! :- Introduction

There is another popular web series trending on Netflix originals, names as 13 reasons why?This series basically has two seasons and each season comprises of thirteen episodes.

While summarising it, we can say that the whole series is based on real life incidents which generally teenagers face in college life, and the series also talks about the impact of every incident and how a wrong group of friends could damage one’s life.

Originally, thirteen reasons why was a book published by the writer Jay Asher in the year 2007. It is a story of a high school student as she descends into despair brought on by betrayal and bullying, culminating with her suicide. She states the thirteen reasons for her suicide in an audio clip and then passes them to her friends.

The main characters are Hannah Baker, the one who commits suicide, leaving behind recorded tapes that implicated twelve people as the thirteen reasons why.

Clay Jensen, is the narrator of the novel as he listens to the tapes and narrates each and every details. He is a shy high school student. And he is the only person who was on the tapes but was not responsible for the death of the girl Hannah Baker.Hannah also clarifies that he was always kind to her and had always supported her.

The other characters are also there but they are not so important like Hannah and clay.

They are Justin Foley, Alex Standall, Jessica Davis, Tyler Down, Courtney Crismen, Marcus Cooley, Zach Dempesy, Ryan Shaver, Sheri Holland, Bryce Walker, Mr. Porter, Tony, Skye Miller.

Now, you all might be thinking that whether the series or the novel thirteen reasons why is based on real life incident or it is just made or published for the purpose of entertainment?

Well this answer is bit complicated, as thirteen reasons whyis based partially on real life and partially is a fiction.Well the author of the book said that the story is not real, but the incidents that are told in the story are the stuff that has happened with my close people and would have happened with many other teens. All of the reasons Hannah describes were based, at least lossely, on situations either experienced or heard about mostly from his wife or female close friends.
