Hello! Hello! Hello!
Long time, No read!!
Hope you all are doing well and hope you remember this writer 🫣. It's ok if you don't since I have been away for quite sometime.
So, how did I come up with this article or what took it so long?Answer is simple. I didn't get the right words or the right title for it. I know you might be thinking what does this title mean? But hold on for a bit.
The 3Cs:
C - Comment
C - Change
C - Criticism
The first C - COMMENT
We have all sorts of conversations with our family, friends, relatives, colleagues, acquaintance, etc.; the conversations can be political, hypothetical, routine, official, etc.
These conversations are our perspectives, ideologies, things we do, things we are planning to do, things we swear we will never do.
We express our views and ideologies about things based on our experiences, the environment we have been raised in and the absorption of ideas from our surroundings.
We do not have a control over the expression of the thoughts or rather we lose control and have a free flowing conversation where we express them without thinking much about whom we tell it to or under what circumstances we tell them or do the activity.
Coming to the second C - CHANGE
Change is the only constant and our lives prove this thought to the T.
We grow up, our circumstances change, new people come into our lives, friendships drift apart, new relations are made, people leave.
We experience things which we never thought we would experience. And these experiences change us, maybe for the best, maybe for the worst. Based on these changes, we do or say things which we normally would not or we would have sworn we will not. The things we say might change based on our experiences which change our perspective to look at things. These changes become a part of our routine life without us knowing or unknowingly.
But, one thing is common and constant, CHANGE.
Ooh, now comes the third and biggest C -
CRITICISM
The thing that everyone fears for themselves but are ready to use it for others.
Criticism
It is a part and parcel of everyone's lives. Criticism on what we do, how we walk, how we talk, how we maintain ourselves, everything. These are all accepted, worked upon or ignored.
But the biggest Criticism is always on the change we have brought in ourselves. When we end up doing things we said we will never do or end up saying in favor of or against things. We might talk in favor of things which we were revolting against. People criticize for these things and make us wonder, "Why did I say this?" and more specifically, "Why did I say this to someone out loud?", "Was I wrong when I said that?"
To be honest, you could've have been wrong or more specifically, you would have been right at that point of time when you were saying those things.
Most importantly, you said them at a time when you were a different person with a different thinking. But one thing people don't understand or get it, is that changes happen. A person's perspective changes, a person's life changes and these changes have changed them in a way completely different from what they used to be and what their thoughts were.
Change affects everyone, celebrities or leaders or us.
A celebrity might have said something adverse or done something on a social media platform around 10 years ago and does or says the opposite thing now. People will pull the same thing from the grave and start criticising them. This takes place with everyone all the time.
There is an old saying - "Think before you talk or do anything". But does this saying hold good always? That is for us to decide. There are some actions which requires thinking before acting upon but there are some things which do not require pondering.
We comment on things with a perspective, the perspective changes based on the learnings and experiences way long after the comment and we are criticized for the change. This is not a new norm in the society. But I feel this norm should change. What do you think? 🤔🤔
(Only my opinion, up to you to think about it or read like another article and forget about it 😁)
