The use of makeup is constant and consistent since ages. Starting from the past eras where the face painting with textured sand and twig drips wasn’t any deal of awe among the women till today where makeup is no more a beauty standard instead it is a way of living. It enhances beauty, protects the skin from dust and pollution and most importantly it boosts the confidence of the woman. Makeup has now become a code to carry a self in all the genera of living. Life without makeup isn’t impossible but is unimpressive to think of.

Nowadays, there is a huge call for organic mineral makeup in the agora of makeup industries. Many mines serve as the natural source of Mica and Titanium Dioxide, which are incessantly used in the trial. Both silicates, Titanium Dioxide, and Mica are used as white pigment material and glimmer in day to day cosmetic care products. The skin care, lip products, anti-aging cosmetics all rely on mica as the shimmery mien. So it is true to say, all that glitters in the glam haul is none other than Mica.

India is one of the leading countries contributing most of the Mica to cosmetic industries. Mica exported from here acts as a raw material in the colossal fabrication abroad. According to a survey Koderma district in Jharkhand is one of the largest deposits of Mica in the world. Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, trio home many mines aiding the mining and export of the same.

Tracing back the roots of the shimmer side aren’t shimmery as thought of instead the truth is dark and dreadful. The Mines are dug by children of the nearby villages and 4 years is approximately the minimum age of the labor, to be more precisely called child labor. The deep, dark and fearful ends have served to be the leading cause of death in the locality. Moreover, these areas are prone to accidents which makes the life of a child extremely vulnerable to lethality. Low socio-economic background, poverty and lack of education are the pillars backing the cynicism. On the other hand, the cost paid for the raw material is far cheaper than one with which makeup product is rated.

The global rise is the makeup industries show a bare concomitant rise in the living standards of the raw hands. Life of children living in these belts is in continuous threat of respiratory and other associated breathing diseases. The future of these children is neither safe nor healthful to count.

Makeup though masks scars and vents but this darker side of the glam haul isn’t easy to disregard or hide instead the story is shocking when felt and horrible for the one living the black.
