On my death bed I am remembering all this. I went back into the thoughts of how I lived my entire life. Then I looked a pattern flashing in front of my eyes about the different phases of life and when I looked at it I saw that the point I entered this world to the point where I am right now, ready to leave, I have faced many things happiness, sadness, success, failure, heartbreaks, depressions etc and learned a lot. May be this is the purpose of our life where we see different things and different experiences at different point of time. When all these bunch of thoughts were running in my mind. A poem which I learned early in my school days came in front of my eyes and suddenly I could hear it as loud as I can. So here it goes.
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players,
They have their exits and entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then, the whining schoolboy with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillinglyto school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden, and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice
In fair round belly, with good capon lin'd,
With eyes severe, and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws, and modern instances,
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose, and pouch on side,
His youthful hose well sav'd, a world too wide,
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again towards childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
The entry of men in the 1st stage of life. An infant is just a helpless child learning to survive. Babies cannot speak they only communicate through their cries. They are nourished in the womb of the mother. They slowly learn the things. They are breast fed, and they accept it as their 1st food. They grow learn different activities, they are cute and adorable, they do nothing except sleeping, eating, crying and feeding. Parents raise their baby with love and effort.
Now this is the stage where the carefree days of infancy ends and the days of discipline, order and routine begins. They enter into the world where they are taught about the life, they meet new people, naturally they hate the boundations, rules and regulations, but they slowly start adopting them. Here they learn about friendship, education and lot more.
This is the most confusing age where they come across many different kinds of feelings and the most effective feeling is love. They enter into the stage where they get attracted to people, they experience love and romance. The teenager during Shakespeare's time pinned for lover, where love was sensual deep and full of grace and beauty.
In this stage Shakespeare's talks about the young soldier who is active, aggressive and full of raw passion. They will not compromise on their rights. They will fight for it and achieve it. Now a days people use social media platforms and the global reach of mass media.
Middle age is the time when men and women settle down they set their careers, they marry the compatible person, the compatibility is based on the understanding trust and lot more. The age brings wisdom and a sense of peaceful acceptance of reality of life. They focus on their careers and improve their way of living.
This is the age when the men becomes weak, but they are strong by their experiences and that's why they are respected the most. They are considered as the wisdom of family.
This is the age where people reach their 2nd childhood, that means they become a child again. The person no longer able to perform basic tasks such as bathing, eating etc. They become physically fragile. This is the age where they cannot live independently, so this the responsibility of their children to keep their parents live.
