Joint is the area where two bones end meet to provide motion to a body part. Joints include shoulders, hips, elbows and knees. These are the main elements for movements in our body. Treatment

1. Medications-

The 1st preference for any problem is medicines. It should be taken as per doctor's prescription. Basically non steroidal anti- inflammatory drug such aspirin, naproxen can provide relief. Other drugs such as muscle relaxants to treat muscle spasms.

2.Physical therapy-

Physiotherapist strengthen the muscles around the joint, stabilize the joint and improve the range of motion. Therapist uses ultrasound, heat and cold therapy and use low frequency simulator, they help to reduce pain and increases range of motion.

3.Home care

1. Protect the joint with wrap.

2. Use hot water bag to reduce pain.

3. Elevate the joint above the level of heart.

4. Reduce pressure on the painful joints.
