In the wake of pseudo-feminism, it is the male gender which has had to suffer as they are generalized into one big, carnal monster. A monster who enjoys

subjugating women and transgender, with their casual sexism, toxic masculinity, patriarchal beliefs and their concept of “She’s asking for it.” The term “She’s asking for it” is the usual excuse used for molestation, rape and so on. Yet, the topic related to male rape and molestation. Yes, male rape and molestation. This includes male-on-male rape, forced homosexuality, child sexual abuse, male rape by women, inappropriate advances etc. The topic was chosen to create awareness and is an appeal to the masses to take male rape seriously.

It’s not a joke, it’s not impossible and it’s not shocking. It happens and will continue spreading its poisonous tentacles in the world unless it is addressed as a legitimate, heinous crime.

Women, you don’t need to belittle men. You need to coexist with them. Not everyone is alike.
Men, why didn’t you scream out that not all of you are to be blamed for such incidents? Did you fear the outrage or did you fear that you would not sound believable?

Remember the posts on social media, the ones that caused quite a stir and yet failed to bring about sufficient change in the mindset of the people – hashtag me too.

What was also alarming was the huge amount of hatred unleashed towards the male gender as a whole. Also, how many men confessed to being objectified, touched, molested and rapes? Especially in India?

MALE RAPE EXISTS AND IS MORE VICIOUS BECAUSE OF THE NOTION THAT MEN CANNOT BE RAPED, BECAUSE MEN CAN’T BREAK DOWN AND CRY AND BECAUSE OF THE CONCEPT OF BEING MACHO WHICH IS ACTUALLY QUITE SILLY.

The term related to making rape is forced sodomy or forced fellatio. The idea of sexual intercourse has obviously gone through a lot of change but there are certain ideas which are unquestionably depraved. An unfortunate thing, because some porn movies promote them. A note – this is not a condemnation of porn movies but a condemnation of those who will encourage bestiality, incest, pedophilia, forced sex or non-consensual sex among others. Rapists are depraved beasts by themselves, they don’t need further ideas. Porn movies may not be the cause but it does help the psychology of a rapist.

There are no laws on male rape or molestation in our country that claims to have progressed since the dark ages. For that matter, male rape or molestation is not taken seriously all around the world. People tend to ignore the forced sex that happens in prisons between inmates.

• As of 1998, 2.78 million men in the U.S. had been victims of attempted or completed rape.
• About 3% of American men—or 1 in 33—have experienced an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime.

• 1 out of every 10 rape victims are male.
If it wasn’t bad enough already that people find the idea of male rape unnatural – the movie Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya decided to make a joke out of male molestation. Varun Dhawan himself claimed that the scene should have been taken as a joke. Well, that’s certainly the lamest sense of humor out there. Bollywood movies in particular help change people’s mindset in India. Movies are powerful tools forchange. Yet, this is what it has been reduced to – it is grotesque.

Children are more prone to abuse, rape, and molestation whether by teachers, by relatives or any other. According to an episode of Satyamev Jayate in 2014, there is no specific law about child abuse in India. An article in Hindustan Times reveals that more than half of the victims of child abuse are boys.

Let’s all bring about a change in our perceptions, let’s strive to respect all, not merely women. Women don’t need a raised platform. They don’t need to be prayed to. They just want equality. As do transgenders and the gender queer. Rape is rape. It is not gender-specific.
