The Fibonacci was named after an Italian Mathematician "Fibonacci", who introduced the Fibonacci series. It contains a sequence of numbers that are closely connected with nature, science and real life. This is one of nature's mystery that exists in the world.

Before going into the application of Fibonacci series, it's worth to discuss the mechanism of Fibonacci series behind it. Fibonacci series starts like this: 0,1,1,2 3,5,8,13,21,34,55 and so on. Each number is the sum of the two numbers that precede.

In the above picture, we could see the number of petals is 21, which will fall under the Fibonacci series. The Fibonacci series not only reflects on sunflower, even if you take any flowers and count them petals up you will find the numbers come under Fibonacci series. And if you look at the center you can see the spiral shaped structure is formed which resemblances Fibonacci spiral. we can get Fibonacci spiral once if we plot the Fibonacci series on the graph and connect them. Running through the centers of the squares in order with a smooth curve we obtain the nautilus spiral=sunflower spiral.

The Fibonacci spiral appears in flowers, fruits, human face and also in the universe. People might have seen the image of the universe, but ever did they notice the shape and structure of the universe resembles a Fibonacci spiral.
