"Be so bright that even your shadow starts to enlighten the path for others."
Do you know why we have turned into so miserable creatures? Why most of the times, most of us are joyless and dispirited? Why restlessness has seeped deeply into our hearts and has rooted out all our ease and tranquility? It is because we continue to be guided by self-interest and consumed by egomania. We continue to seek power over others. We continue to compete and intend to become better than most of the people, unaware that all we need is to become better than our ownselves.
Today, what we lack is the pursuit of selflessness. And by selflessness, I do not mean living up to other people's wishes or risking our life's goals for the sake of them, but selflessness actually hinges on just being oneself— to exist in our most natural state, not lead by envy or not driven by selfish desires.
True happiness lies in focusing on our growth and succour others in their growth.
"The most satisfying feeling in the world is to become someone's moon in their darkest hour."
Do you think this feeling can be achieved if we continue to confine ourselves to ourselves? Can it be achieved if we keep looking for light in others which could be in our ownselves?
When was the last time we whined about people not doing anything in return for what we have done for them or would be willing to do for them? I guess almost a while ago. We spend our lives in expecting a great deal from people and this is what which leaves us despondent most of the time. Wouldn’t it be better if we leave what is in control of others and start focusing on what lies in our hands?
Life becomes much easier when we start listing ourselves as givers, when we start seeing ourselves as pots over brimming with love, not in a half-filled state which needs to be refilled and when we know it is we who have everything to offer to others, regardless their reciprocation.
When we light up others path and become the sole savior in someone's life even when we know that no one would save us. When we let the other sail safely across the sea knowing we ourselves won't get a hand to take us ashore. When we inspite being in the dark dungeons ourselves know how to rescue others.
And everything becomes fulfilling, trust me, when we acquire the eyes which wish to see others getting everything they ever wanted and the ears which wish to hear the well-being of them. When we acquire the soul which does not dwell in selfish pursuits and the heart which is not blackened by envy or self conceit.
"maybe you are not meant to see the light for you are the light."
