"If the mind and soul are stabilised, the choices one makes, and the actions one performs, will naturally be beneficial for the body."
-TOI
Often, when talked of taking care of ourselves, we cannot think of anything but body. When talked of staying healthy, we immediately think of the physical fitness of the body. Each one of us is so consumed by the thought of making physical health better that we completely neglect the emotional and mental health. Physical fitness is crucial doubtlessly, but spiritual and mental well-being is as significant as any other thing.
“If the soul is weak, physical exercise may keep the body fit, but one might not experience peace of mind or happy relationships, and diseases will slowly take root deep inside the body.”

We are told to take a good diet to keep our body strong. Our body requires food and fuel and so does our mind and soul! A sound body by itself does not produce a sound mind.
Just as nutritious food and regular exercise are needed to keep a body fit, the mind and soul require a diet of positive thoughts and exercise in the form of meditation.
Feeding soul and mind is as important as feeding the body. One of the ways of feeding it is through the information we gain and the thoughts we create. They are the food for mind and soul. As the quality of this food, so will be they!
Prayer is talking to higher power and is another important aspect of feeding our self. It lets the soul engage in divine communion which eases our spirit and unburdens our mind, helps us in finding answers to inexplicable questions and gives us strength to pave a way out of misery and pain.
As much as we are required to separate our body from other engagements to perform exercise, solitude is required to keep the peace of mind intact. A walk in the nature or retreating into wilderness keeps us sane by unfurling the heaviness of soul and uneasiness of mind. Contact with the natural world calms our nervous system and quiets us enough to hear our inner voice of wisdom and intuition. Trust me, breathing fresh air helps us to coax it out!
Isolation is imperative and so does the association and connection to feed our mind and soul. It is to begin and end the day with a heart full of gratitude, to learn something new each day with a heart full of curiosity and keenness, to fix the mistakes with a heart full of forgiveness and to serve the people in need with a heart full of kindness and empathy.
Create a balance and harmony between soul, mind and body by feeding the mind good wisdom, the body good nutrition, the soul good vibes, and the heart good love.
