“The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.”
We draw each breathe and call ourselves alive and the moment that breathe is taken away, we name it as death. A simplistic approach, isn’t it? This is what we are conditioned to think as from the very moment senses take hold of our existence. But trust me, this steers us in iniquitous direction for we never question our existence and repudiate the accountability of our actions, whether right or wrong. However, it is paramount to reconsider our approach, the approach of looking at death and life in a slightly different way!
Death may come even before the actual breathe departs our soul. It is the departure of spirit which turns a living, dead.
One dies the very moment inhumanity supersedes one’s humane behavior. When it hinges as long as one decides to let all the goodness of his soul be kept away and allows his false pride to hold the scepter. When one clothes himself in the rags of cruelty instead of kindness and humility; when one gets driven to the peaks of insensibility and becomes insensitive to the interest of people below his station and when one lets himself be made a demon and a dead being.
One dies the very moment one follows false beliefs and superstitions which have been followed by dead people for ages. When one lets himself be swayed away by masked superstitions and guised beliefs which are passed down from one generation to another and which not just root out every reasonable discourse but also a scope of nascent ideology. One dies the very moment the false sense of his superiority on grounds of religion, caste or status clouds his mind and blinds him enough not to perturb his spirit on the sights of gushing blood rivers.
One dies the very moment one refuses to stand up for oneself or for others. When one chooses to shut his eyes, seal his lips and bind his hands on acknowledging evil playing his game. One dies when one lets the wicked win by staying out of the game which does not concern him directly. When one chooses to watch the parade of demon; silently letting him rip the dignity and freedom of his fellow beings.
Are you one of those walking dead on Earth? Are you alive yet dead by refusing to acknowledge the good and rooting for viciousness?
Change the way your perceive yourself! Change the way you look at what it means to be alive or dead!
Decline the offer of being dead before you are actually dead or even if it tries to force its way in, you know one thing:
“What do we say to the God of Death?
Not today!”
