• The Trumpet will be sounded, when all that are in the heavens and on earth will swoon, except such as it will please Allah. Then will a second one be sounded, when, behold, they will be standing and looking on!
  और सूर फूँका जाएगा, तो जो कोई आकाशों और जो कोई धरती में होगा वह अचेत हो जाएगा सिवाय उसके जिसको अल्लाह चाहे । फिर उसे दूबारा फूँका जाएगा, तो क्या देखेगे कि सहसा वे खड़े देख रहे है

• Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon.
  तो तुम इनको इनकी हालत पर छोड़ दो यहाँ तक कि वह जिसमें ये बेहोश हो जाएँगे

• Those who believe say," Why is not a sura sent down ?" But when a sura of basic or categorical meaning is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou wilt see those in whose hearts is a disease looking at thee with a look of one in swoon at the approach of death. But more fitting for them -
  और मोमिनीन कहते हैं कि कोई सूरा क्यों नहीं नाज़िल होता लेकिन जब कोई साफ़ सरीही मायनों का सूरा नाज़िल हुआ और उसमें जेहाद का बयान हो तो जिन लोगों के दिल में का मर्ज़ है तुम उनको देखोगे कि तुम्हारी तरफ़ इस तरह देखते हैं जैसे किसी पर मौत की बेहोशी हो तो उन पर वाए हो

• For the Trumpet shall be blown, and whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth shall swoon, save whom God wills. Then it shall be blown again, and lo, they shall stand, beholding.
  और सूर फूँका जाएगा, तो जो कोई आकाशों और जो कोई धरती में होगा वह अचेत हो जाएगा सिवाय उसके जिसको अल्लाह चाहे । फिर उसे दूबारा फूँका जाएगा, तो क्या देखेगे कि सहसा वे खड़े देख रहे है

• Mind cannot arrive at identity with the Absolute even when by a stretch of the intellect it conceives the idea, but can only disappear into it in a swoon or extinction: it can only have a kind of sense or an intimation of certain absolutes which it puts by the mental idea into a relative figure.

• And when Moses came at Our appointment, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: ' O my Lord! Reveal Yourself to me, that I may look upon You! ' He replied: ' Never can you see Me. However, behold this mount ; if it remains firm in its place, only then you will be able to see Me. ' And as soon as his Lord unveiled His glory to the mount, He crushed it into fine dust, and Moses fell down in a swoon. And when he recovered, he said: ' Glory be to You! To You I turn in repentance, and I am the foremost among those who believe. '
  और जब मूसा हमारा वायदा पूरा करते आए और उनका परवरदिगार उनसे हम कलाम हुआ तो मूसा ने अर्ज़ किया कि ख़ुदाया तू मेझे अपनी एक झलक दिखला दे कि मैं तूझे देखँ ख़ुदा ने फरमाया तुम मुझे हरगिज़ नहीं देख सकते मगर हॉ उस पहाड़ की तरफ देखो पस अगर अपनी जगह पर क़ायम रहे तो समझना कि अनक़रीब मुझे भी देख लोगे फिर जब उनके परवरदिगार ने पहाड़ पर तजल्ली डाली तो उसको चकनाचूर कर दिया और मूसा बेहोश होकर गिर पड़े फिर जब होश में आए तो कहने लगे ख़ुदा वन्दा तू पाक व पाकीज़ा है - मैने तेरी बारगाह में तौबा की और मै सब से पहले तेरी अदम रवायत का यक़ीन करता हूँ

• And the trumpet will be blown, when whosoever are in the heavens and whosoever are on the earth will swoon away, save him whomsoever Allah willeth. Then it shall be blown again, and lo! They will be standing, looking on.
  और सूर फूँका जाएगा, तो जो कोई आकाशों और जो कोई धरती में होगा वह अचेत हो जाएगा सिवाय उसके जिसको अल्लाह चाहे । फिर उसे दूबारा फूँका जाएगा, तो क्या देखेगे कि सहसा वे खड़े देख रहे है

• The Horn shall be blown and all who are in heavens and earth shall swoon, except those whom Allah wills. Then, the Horn will blow again and they shall stand and gaze.
  और सूर फूँका जाएगा, तो जो कोई आकाशों और जो कोई धरती में होगा वह अचेत हो जाएगा सिवाय उसके जिसको अल्लाह चाहे । फिर उसे दूबारा फूँका जाएगा, तो क्या देखेगे कि सहसा वे खड़े देख रहे है

• And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah will. Then it will blown a second time and behold, they will be standing, looking on.
  और जब सूर फँका जाएगा तो जो लोग आसमानों में हैं और जो लोग ज़मीन में हैं बेहोश होकर गिर पड़ेंगें मगर जिस को ख़ुदा चाहे वह अलबत्ता बच जाएगा फिर जब दोबारा सूर फूँका जाएगा तो फौरन सब के सब खड़े हो कर देखने लगेंगें
