We recently watched 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' video on youtube. Basically, it was an interactive session where our prime minister Narendra Modi was addressing the issues faced by the students due to exams and tips on how to handle the stress. He also answered questions raised by a few parents.

Now many people are saying that it was just a political strategy in order to garner votes for the upcoming elections.

Some were of the opinion that even if it was for the votes, atleast he took the initiative to interact with the public. Has any prime minister done that before in this way? He also addressed the issues of foreign students with Indian background. Isn't that really commendable!

The answer which impressed me the most was a reply to the question that how does he manage to work tirelessly for the country without taking any holiday. The student was wondering if he ever got bored of the routine and what was the driving force that kept him going.

He calmly replied ‘‘ Our mothers work for 365 days. They have to work even when they are sick. They don't ask for a holiday and imagine if they did, wouldn't the house suffer! For them, taking care of their kids is their top priority and they do it sincerely inspite of the tiring nature of the job. It's from them that we should get our inspiration to do work. That is what motivates him to work for the country dedicatedly.

Remember that movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, there was this dialogue,

Zindagi mein agar kuch banna ho, kuch haasil karna ho, kuch jeetna ho … toh hamesha dil ki suno … aur agar dil bhi koi jawab na de toh aankhen band karke apni maa aur papa ka naam lo … phir dekhna har manzil paar kar jaoge, har mushkil aasaan ho jayegi … jeet tumhari hogi, sirf tumhari.

Translation -

In life, if you want to become someone, want to achieve something, always listen to your heart and if your heart doesn't guide you then close your eyes and remember your parents and then see how easily you overcome all the difficulties. Success will truly be yours.

Just remember one thing, no matter what you go through, what you need.. Be it food, money, warmth, inspiration, a shoulder to cry on, a big hug, you can always go to your parents. They are the best!
